Hair Stylist/Barber

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, styling, coloring, and texturizing to meet client preferences and current trends
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process transactions efficiently
• Execute precise barbering techniques such as straight razor shaves and hair threading for a polished grooming experience
• Recommend hair care products, extensions, and additional services to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales through upselling strategies
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools, stations, and work areas in compliance with health regulations
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their desired looks, provide expert advice on hair care routines, and ensure a positive experience
• Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair coloring, styling techniques, and customer service best practices

Experience

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a hairstylist or barber with a strong portfolio of diverse styles
• Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for booking and client management
• Knowledge of hair coloring techniques, color theory, and the use of various styling tools and products
• Skilled in performing hair extensions application, makeup application, nail care, and other beauty services is a plus
• Strong communication skills to engage clients effectively and foster lasting relationships
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of sanitation and professionalism
• Experience mentoring or training team members is desirable but not required
