Blowout Stylist at Williamsburg Blow Bar

Williamsburg Blow Bar is a boutique blowout and hair-wellness space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We specialize in professional blowouts, scalp-wellness services, healthy-hair treatments, gloss, smoothing and polished finishing.

We are looking for an experienced, friendly and reliable Blowout Stylist to join our team part-time. The ideal candidate is confident working with different hair types and textures and can create a range of looks, including smooth blowouts, soft waves, beach waves, big and bouncy styles and polished curls.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality blowouts and styling services
• Use hot tools confidently to create different finished looks
• Perform blowouts on clients with extensions
• Recommend appropriate treatments and products
• Maintain a clean, organized and professional station
• Provide a warm and attentive client experience
• Work efficiently while maintaining quality
• Be available on Fridays and Saturdays
• Opportunity to assist with hotel, group and special-event styling when available

Qualifications

• Current New York State cosmetology license
• Professional blowout and styling experience
• Comfortable working with different hair types, lengths and textures
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Scalp-spa, treatment or special-event styling experience is a plus

Compensation

This is a commission-based position with tips. Earnings depend on services performed and bookings. The applicable New York minimum wage is guaranteed for all hours worked.
