Position Summary

We are hiring a Salon Assistant to help maintain a seamless client experience while keeping the salon operating efficiently. This role is perfect for someone passionate about the beauty industry, eager to learn, and looking to grow in a professional salon environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist stylists with loc maintenance services, including prepping for hair services, treatments, and color applications
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and salon equipment
• Manage front desk operations, including appointment scheduling using salon software such as BOULEVARD
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients, answering inquiries, and addressing concerns
• Participate in mentoring programs to enhance skills in cosmetology
• Support retail sales by upselling products and providing knowledgeable recommendations to clients
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the salon environment

Qualifications

• Current cosmetology student or graduate a plus
• Prior salon, spa, or customer service experience preferred but not required (training available)
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills are essential
• A passion for the beauty industry along with a willingness to learn new skills is highly valued
