Nail Technician

Duties

• Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and nail extensions with precision and artistry
• Apply color theory principles to create custom nail designs that match client preferences and current trends
• Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures for tools and workstations
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, offer recommendations, and ensure a positive experience
• Upsell retail products like nail care items, lotions, and polishes to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
• Assist with maintaining a clean, organized workspace that complies with all health standards and safety regulations
• Stay updated on the latest industry techniques such as dermabrasion, eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, and esthetic laser treatments to broaden service offerings

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry as a Nail Technician or similar role with a strong portfolio of nail art and techniques
• Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing as required by local regulations
• Knowledge of sanitation standards including disinfection procedures for tools and workspaces
• Skilled in applying acrylic nails, gel manicures, nail extensions, and other advanced nail techniques
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients
• Familiarity with color theory to assist clients in choosing the perfect shades for their style
• Ability to upsell retail products confidently while providing professional advice on nail care and maintenance
