Duties

• Assist senior stylists with hair treatments, color applications, and styling to ensure smooth salon operations.
• Perform basic hair services such as shampooing, conditioning, blow-drying, and simple styling to prepare clients for their appointments.
• Support with hair extensions and eyelash extensions.
• Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards, including sterilizing tools like straight razors and implementing proper hygiene practices.
• Manage appointment scheduling using salon software such as Meevo ensuring efficient flow and customer satisfaction.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients warmly, understanding their needs, and offering product recommendations through retail sales and upselling techniques.
• Assist with front desk duties including check-in/check-out procedures, retail inventory management, and client follow-up communications.
• Support store management in daily operations, including retail math calculations for product sales and inventory control.
• Mentor new team members on hair styling techniques, sanitation protocols, and customer interaction to foster a collaborative environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in a salon or barbershop environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Knowledge of hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and makeup application is a plus.
• Familiarity with salon software systems like Meevo enhances efficiency but training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills are essential for understanding client needs and delivering personalized service.
• Basic understanding of color theory helps in executing vibrant color treatments confidently.
• Experience in retail sales and upselling techniques supports business growth through product recommendations.
• Certification in cosmetology or barbering is required; additional skills in hair threading or straight razor shaving are advantageous.
