Duties

Assist senior stylists with hair treatments, color applications, and styling to ensure smooth salon operations.
Perform basic hair services such as shampooing, conditioning, blow-drying, and simple styling to prepare clients for their appointments.
Support with hair extensions and eyelash extensions.
Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards, including sterilizing tools like straight razors and implementing proper hygiene practices.
Manage appointment scheduling using salon software such as Meevo ensuring efficient flow and customer satisfaction.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients warmly, understanding their needs, and offering product recommendations through retail sales and upselling techniques.
Assist with front desk duties including check-in/check-out procedures, retail inventory management, and client follow-up communications.
Support store management in daily operations, including retail math calculations for product sales and inventory control.
Mentor new team members on hair styling techniques, sanitation protocols, and customer interaction to foster a collaborative environment.

Experience

Previous experience in a salon or barbershop environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
Knowledge of hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and makeup application is a plus.
Familiarity with salon software systems like Meevo enhances efficiency but training will be provided.
Strong communication skills are essential for understanding client needs and delivering personalized service.
Basic understanding of color theory helps in executing vibrant color treatments confidently.
Experience in retail sales and upselling techniques supports business growth through product recommendations.
Certification in cosmetology or barbering is required; additional skills in hair threading or straight razor shaving are advantageous.
