Hair Stylist / Barber / Nail Technician

Duties

• Deliver professional hair styling, coloring, extensions, and hair threading services tailored to each client's preferences
• Perform barbering services including haircutting, straight razor shaves, and grooming consultations
• Provide expert nail care treatments such as manicures, pedicures, and nail enhancements
• Apply makeup and eyelash extensions to enhance clients' natural beauty with precision and artistry
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas following health regulations
• Utilize salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
• Offer retail product recommendations through upselling techniques to improve client satisfaction and salon revenue
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing bookings, and supporting store management as needed
• Mentor junior team members to uphold service excellence and salon standards

Skills

• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of hair styling, coloring, barbering, or nail care services
• Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management
• Expertise in hair extensions, hair coloring techniques based on color theory, and hair styling trends
• Skilled in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Proficiency in cosmetology or barbering licenses; additional certifications like eyelash extensions or makeup application are a plus
• Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and provide personalized recommendations
• Strong retail sales abilities with experience in upselling products like hair care items or retail math knowledge for inventory management
• Ability to work efficiently at the front desk while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor
