Overview

We are a bathhouse seeking a skilled and passionate Esthetician to join our team to perform mainly body scrubs and facials. We are looking for applicants with SOME massage experience. The massage experience is important first, because our body scrubs include lymphatic drainage and effleurage techniques. Second, we are looking for someone who is willing to train in massage so that in time, they can perform both massage and skin treatments. Someone who already has both licenses is wonderful, but not required. When you do not have a client for spa services, you will have customer service/front desk duties to perform. Front desk hours are required unless your schedule is fully booked up with client services.

Responsibilities

• Perform body scrubs, facials and other skin treatments
• Consult with clients to assess their skincare needs and recommend appropriate treatments.
• Maintain accurate client records using salon software for tracking services and preferences.
• Educate clients on proper skincare routines and product usage.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of treatment areas in compliance with health regulations.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in esthetics
• Deliver excellent customer service while fostering a positive experience for all clients
• Perform front desk duties when you do not have a client: answering phones, scheduling, checking clients in and out, folding laundry, checking the facilities.

Requirements

• Valid esthetician license or certification from an accredited institution.
• Some massage experience and a desire to learn more
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Experience in retail sales is preferred to promote products effectively.
• Knowledge of various skincare products and techniques
• Familiarity with salon software for managing appointments and client information.
• Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and understand their needs.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of esthetics.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
