Duties

• Perform haircuts, beard trims, shaves, and other grooming services using various techniques including straight razor.
• Consult with clients to understand their grooming needs and preferences, offering expert advice on styles and products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, tools, and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
• Engage in upselling of products and services to enhance the client experience while contributing to salon revenue.
• Assist with front desk operations including greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling retail transactions using retail math skills.
• Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and products to provide informed recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that fosters creativity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid barbering license or certification in accordance with state regulations.
• Proficiency in various barbering techniques including color theory, makeup application, and store management is preferred.
• Experience with salon software systems is a plus; familiarity with MINDBODY is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients effectively.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality services consistently.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
