Grow Your Career With a Salon That Invests in You

Looking for a salon where you can do great hair, keep growing, and actually enjoy the people you work with?

Welcome to Mane Street Hair & Color Studio.

We’re an independent, team-driven salon in North Attleboro, MA built around great hair, strong consultations, continued education, and taking genuinely good care of our clients.

We’re not corporate, overly stuffy, or interested in outdated salon hierarchy. We believe talented stylists do their best work when expectations are clear, education is encouraged, individuality is welcome, and everyone on the team contributes to making the salon a great place to work.

We take our craft seriously. Ourselves? Slightly less so.

Expect great music, plenty of personality, a relaxed dress code, clients you’ll actually get to know, and a team that believes work should support your life—not consume it.

What Makes Mane Street Different?

Education is a huge part of who we are.

We don’t just teach techniques or chase whatever happens to be trending on Instagram. We dig into the why behind what we do; from color theory and hair science to product ingredients, consultations, formulation, and separating good information from clever beauty-industry marketing.

Our philosophy has always been simple:

Be taught, not sold.

That applies to our clients, and it applies to our stylists too.

If you’re curious, experienced, open to learning, and love understanding your craft on a deeper level, you’ll probably feel right at home here.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re currently looking for an experienced, well-rounded hairstylist who feels comfortable behind the chair and wants to become part of an established salon team.

You don’t need to know everything. None of us do.

You do need a strong technical foundation, good judgment, solid communication skills, and the confidence to manage your appointments and client experience independently.

We’d love to meet someone who:

Is confident cutting both short and long hair on men and women
Has strong highlighting skills, including foils, balayage, babylights, dimensional color, and modern highlighting techniques
Provides thoughtful, thorough consultations
Can guide clients toward what will realistically work for their hair, lifestyle, maintenance preferences, and budget
Works efficiently while still caring about quality
Communicates well with clients and coworkers
Is dependable, professional, and willing to keep learning
Enjoys being part of a team while still taking pride and ownership in their own work

A Few Scheduling Details

This position begins part-time with the opportunity to grow into full-time as your clientele and schedule build.

Applicants should be available for:

Two evenings during the week
Two day shifts
Every other Saturday (or a minimum of 2 Saturdays a month)

We believe clients need access to their stylist—but we also believe stylists deserve a life outside the salon.

Hence the alternate Saturdays. Because burnout is not a personality trait.

What You Get Here

This is an employee position, not booth rental. Mane Street provides the structure, support, products, systems, and resources that allow you to focus on being a great stylist.

Benefits and support include:

Hourly base pay
Monthly performance bonuses
Paid vacation with eligibility
Flexible scheduling
Every other Saturday off
Holiday-season vacation reset
Paid continuing education
Hands-on coaching and professional development
Salon marketing and new-client leads
Established salon reputation and clientele
Color, backbar, tools, and salon supplies
Booking, checkout, and administrative support
Employee payroll tax and workers’ compensation coverage
Retail incentives and/or professional product discounts
Opportunity to grow from part-time into a larger schedule as your clientele grows

And yes, the playlist matters.

You could be working to 90s alternative, Motown, pop, hip-hop, classic rock, or whatever musical identity crisis our “New England weather” playlist brings.

What You’ll Need

A current Massachusetts cosmetology license
Behind-the-chair salon experience; two or more years is preferred, but talent, confidence, and skill matter more to us than simply counting years
The ability to perform services independently
A portfolio or Instagram showing a range of your work
Strong communication and consultation skills
The ability to comfortably manage the pace of a normal salon day

Bonus Points

Not required, but definitely appreciated:

An existing clientele
Social media skills
Experience with dimensional color, advanced highlighting, or specialty services
Living within a reasonable commute of North Attleboro

What We Care About Most

Skill matters.

But so does being someone other people enjoy working beside.

We want a salon where stylists can ask questions, share knowledge, laugh, collaborate, have different personalities, and still treat one another professionally.

You don’t have to fit into a mold here, just a vibe.

You just have to care about your work, your clients, your growth, and the people around you.

Ready to Meet Us?

Send your resume along with a link to your Instagram or portfolio to Manestreethairstudio7@gmail.com.

Tell us a little about yourself, the services you love doing, what you’re hoping to find in your next salon, and what made you interested in Mane Street.

Final candidates may be invited to perform a model service so we can get to know how you consult, work, formulate, and approach the client experience behind the chair.
