At Waxing the City, our licensed service providers are not only waxing experts, they're waxing authorities. This led us to create our very own title of Cerologist™ technicians, combining "cera" (Latin for wax) with "ologist" (to highlight their level of education and expertise). After a week-long, hands-on training, our service providers become certified Cerologists.

Summary

The Cerologist (wax specialist) is accountable for all service provision, minimal waxing standards, customer service standards, and general day-to-day operations as it relates to client management.

Minimum Qualifications - Required

• Current NY State licensure (Esthetician or Cosmetologist or NY State Waxing License)
• Excellent hands-on waxing skills - for all types of body waxing, willing to learn our technique
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Time management skills
• Self-motivated team player with outgoing and energetic personality
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times (Hair and Makeup done each shift)
• Have reliable transportation with a willingness to work flexible days and hours
• Schedule - Set schedule each week

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous waxing experience in a salon/spa
