Scalp technician

Role Overview

This role is ideal for a licensed professional who understands the unique needs of textured hair and scalp health. You will deliver customized scalp treatments while ensuring each client receives thoughtful, informed, and high quality care.

Key Responsibilities

 • Perform professional scalp treatments, including scalp facials, detox treatments, and therapeutic scalp massages
• Safely and properly work with textured hair, including curls, coils, and protective styles
• Conduct scalp assessments and recommend appropriate services and home care guidance
• Provide an elevated, calming, and professional client experience
• Educate clients on scalp health and best practices for maintaining healthy hair
• Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of treatment areas
• Follow Madam Tingle service protocols and uphold brand standards
• Contribute to a welcoming, respectful, and client focused environment

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Cosmetology License required
• Experience working with textured hair, including coils, curls, and protective styles required
• Strong understanding of textured hair care and scalp health best practices
• Excellent hands on technique and attention to detail
• Professional, reliable, and client focused
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to learn Madam Tingle’s specialized scalp treatment protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in spa, wellness, cosmetology, or scalp focused services
• Experience providing scalp treatments, massage, or haircare services in a professional setting
• Passion for scalp health, hair wellness, and serving clients with textured hair
