Hair Bar NYC is a fast-growing salon company with multiple locations across New York and Florida, and we continue to expand every year. We are looking for an experienced, licensed beauty professional who is passionate about both salon operations and education to help lead our teams, maintain exceptional service standards, and support the growth of our brand.

This is a leadership position for someone who has extensive experience behind the chair, has successfully managed salon teams, and enjoys coaching and developing other professionals.

Position Summary

The Regional Salon Manager & Educator will oversee multiple salon locations while ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, team development, and consistent service quality across every Hair Bar NYC location. This individual will also lead technical education and training programs to ensure all stylists perform services according to Hair Bar NYC standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee multiple Hair Bar NYC salon locations, ensuring operational excellence and a consistent luxury guest experience.
  • Develop and execute business strategies to increase sales, profitability, client retention, and overall salon performance.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, coach, and mentor salon managers, stylists, and support staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and develop high-performing teams through ongoing coaching and leadership development.
  • Deliver technical education on haircutting, coloring, balayage, blonding, corrective color, keratin treatments, hair extensions, product knowledge, and customer service excellence.
  • Ensure consistency in consultations, formulations, service protocols, timing, and overall guest experience across all locations.
  • Observe salon services and provide constructive feedback to improve technical skills and service quality.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, payroll, retail performance, productivity, average ticket, memberships, rebooking, client retention, and profitability using Excel and salon management software.
  • Develop action plans based on business performance and implement strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, inventory management, payroll efficiency, and cost control to maximize profitability.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements that increase efficiency and streamline salon operations.
  • Resolve escalated client concerns professionally while maintaining Hair Bar NYC's commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, sanitation standards, and all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on new salon openings, operational initiatives, and company growth strategies.
  • Travel regularly between New York and Florida locations to conduct training, support teams, and ensure consistent execution of company standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends, techniques, products, and innovations to keep Hair Bar NYC at the forefront of the beauty industry.

Qualifications

  • Active Cosmetology License (Required)
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional hairstyling experience (Required)
  • Previous experience as a Salon Manager, Multi-Unit Manager, Regional Manager, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong expertise in haircutting, hair coloring, balayage, blonding, toning, corrective color, keratin treatments, and hair extensions.
  • Proven experience training, mentoring, and developing hairstylists.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong business acumen with experience analyzing KPIs, payroll, budgeting, and profitability.
  • Proficiency with Excel and salon management software (Zenoti experience is a plus).
  • Ability to travel regularly between New York and Florida locations.
  • Passion for leadership, education, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
