Salon Apprentice
Join our dynamic beauty team as a Salon Apprentice and embark on an exciting journey to develop your skills in a vibrant, customer-focused environment. This paid position offers hands-on experience in hair care and other beauty services while supporting the daily operations of a busy salon.As a Salon Apprentice, you'll be automatically added to our Davis Hairdressing training program WHILE in school! This will help you fast track your way to taking clients on the floor sooner than the average salon.

Duties
- Assist senior stylists and cosmetologists in the shampoo area.
- Support client consultations by helping communicate service options and product recommendations effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all workstations, including sterilizing tools and sanitizing treatment areas.
- Learn to operate top salon software, PHOREST, for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
- Help with retail sales by promoting hair care products, extensions, makeup, nail care items, and other retail offerings to clients.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, scheduling appointments, and handling client check-ins and check-outs.
- Participate in mentoring sessions to develop skills in hair cutting, coloring, and extensions.
Qualifications
- Passionate about the beauty industry with a desire to learn new skills in hair styling, coloring, barbering, and other beauty treatments.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Basic knowledge of salon software systems like PHOREST is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of sanitation and customer service.
- Previous experience working in a salon or related environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for growth is essential.
- Familiarity with hair care products, color theory, retail math, upselling techniques, and store management concepts is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn about advanced hair services.
