Nail Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Nail Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of nail care and sanitation practices, along with excellent customer service skills. As a Nail Technician, you will provide high-quality nail services while ensuring a welcoming and relaxing environment for clients. Your expertise in color theory and various nail techniques will help enhance the overall experience for our clientele.

Responsibilities

• Perform manicure and pedicure services, including nail shaping, cuticle care, and polish application
• Apply artificial nails, including acrylics and gels, ensuring proper techniques for durability and aesthetics
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools and workstations in accordance with health regulations
• Educate clients on proper nail care and recommend products for at-home maintenance
• Upsell additional services such as nail art, eyelash extensions, or body waxing to enhance client experience
• Provide exceptional customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their needs
• Stay updated on the latest trends in nail care, hair styling, and beauty treatments
• Assist with retail sales by promoting products that complement services provided

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology license or certification in nail technology
• Strong knowledge of color theory and its application in nail design
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Proficiency in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients
• Experience with hair extensions, esthetic laser treatments, hair threading, body waxing, and eyelash extensions is a plus
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Ability to perform retail math for sales transactions and inventory management
• Knowledge of additional beauty services such as dermabrasion or barbering is advantageous
