Nail Technician at The Buffalo Club
To consistently achieve a high degree of member care while providing the highest quality nail service. The Nail Technician is responsible for the overall operation of the nail department in accordance with The Buffalo Club standards. A successful Nail Technician should also be able to build and maintain relationships with members and staff to encourage repeat nail appointments. Ultimately, an outstanding Nail Technician should be knowledgeable of the latest nail products, trends, and techniques to ensure that clients are satisfied with the services provided.About The Buffalo Club

General Requirements
- Complies and carries out job within the spirit of The Buffalo Club's Vision & Values.
- Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and dressed in accordance with The Buffalo Club's appearance standards.
- Interact with the members and coworkers in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Perform all work in accordance with safety standards and guidelines.
- Report any incidents or injuries to the supervisor immediately.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all scheduled shifts. Prepared for work at scheduled time.
- Provide a warm, inviting and friendly atmosphere for all members.
- Knowledgeable in all levels of nail care for both feet and hands.
- Proficient in standard nail services of grooming the nail, polish application, massage and exfoliation.
- Ability to explain various treatments/services to guests.
- Ensure station cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure all equipment is in proper working condition.
- Report any maintenance problems to supervisor immediately.
- Comply with state sanitation guidelines as well as standard operating procedures for all services and protocols.
- Begin and end all treatments on time.
- Provide guest services in hand and foot care for grooming and relaxation to the member/guest, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
- Follow all policies and procedures as related to services.
- Complete weekly/monthly inventory of all products.
- Perform opening and closing duties as outlined by manager.
- Perform laundry duties as needed.
- In addition, other duties may be required as directed by your management.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Willingness to learn new services.
- Must be able to work a flexible shift that includes early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended shifts.
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.
Education
- Must hold and maintain state license and minimum required hours.
- Complete training and certification from a state and nationally recognized school.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years at a spa.
- Background in customer service and able to solve guest issues or complaints.
- Private club/country club experience strongly preferred.
Licenses & Certificates
- Hold current CPR and First Aid certification or attend training offered by The Buffalo Club.
- Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to continuously sit for the majority of shift.
- Must be able to stand and walk regularly throughout shift.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, push and pull over the course of a shift.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must be able to operate all salon related equipment.
- Must be able to periodically lift and carry up to 30 lbs. over the course of a shift.
