Nail Technician

Duties

• Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, gel manicures, pedicures, acrylic nail application, and nail extensions with precision and artistry.
• Apply color theory principles to recommend and create custom nail designs that complement each client's style.
• Conduct esthetic laser treatments, dermabrasion, and other advanced nail care procedures to enhance client satisfaction.
• Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and proper sterilization of tools and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences, provide expert advice on nail care, and upsell retail products to enhance their experience.
• Stay current with industry trends such as eyelash extensions, hair styling, body waxing, hair threading, and hair extensions to offer comprehensive beauty solutions.
• Ensure a clean and organized workspace while fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.
• Manage retail sales efficiently through retail math skills while promoting additional services and products.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of nail care techniques including manicure, pedicure, gel manicures, acrylic nails, and nail extensions.
• Strong understanding of color theory for creating visually appealing designs.
• Proficiency in salon safety protocols, sanitation practices, disinfection procedures, and overall hygiene standards.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients.
• Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on cosmetology or esthetic treatments such as dermabrasion or laser therapy.
• Ability to perform advanced beauty treatments like eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, hair extensions, and barbering as needed.
• Retail sales acumen combined with upselling skills to maximize client satisfaction and revenue generation.
• Strong communication skills to explain procedures effectively and recommend appropriate products or services confidently.
