Massage Therapist

Responsibilities

• Deliver a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage tailored to individual client needs
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of concern
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their goals, explain treatment procedures, and provide guidance for ongoing wellness practices
• Maintain detailed records of treatments, client progress, and any relevant medical or physiological information
• Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation standards and following occupational health protocols
• Stay informed about the latest massage therapy techniques and industry best practices through ongoing education and training
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure or certification as a Massage Therapist
• Proven experience in various massage modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, sports therapy, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and medical massage
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
• Experience with patient assessment and pain management strategies
• Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service and client satisfaction
• Knowledge of occupational health standards and safety procedures in a spa or medical setting
• Prior experience in med spa environments or wellness centers is preferred but not required
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
