Licensed Massage Therapist

Duties

• Deliver a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, symptoms, and specific concerns
• Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing pain management or injury recovery
• Maintain detailed treatment records, including client progress and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with health regulations
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain procedures, address questions, and ensure a comfortable experience
• Stay current with industry best practices and new massage techniques through ongoing professional development
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including CPR certification and proper sanitation procedures

Experience

• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification in CPR and first aid
• Proven experience in providing diverse massage therapies such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage modalities
• Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
• Experience working in medical spas or occupational health settings is highly desirable
• Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs accurately and develop effective treatment plans
• Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
• Prior pain management or injury rehabilitation experience is a significant plus
