Massage Therapist

Duties

• Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage to address individual client needs.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure safe, effective therapy sessions.
• Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend follow-up treatments to enhance ongoing wellness.
• Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment details, adhering to confidentiality standards.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by following sanitation protocols and maintaining equipment.
• Communicate clearly with clients about their comfort levels, treatment expectations, and health concerns using professional terminology.
• Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education requirements to uphold licensure standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in patient service with excellent customer service skills that foster trust and rapport.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management.
• Expertise in various massage techniques such as Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments.
• Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop tailored treatment plans.
• Knowledge of CPR certification and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
• Effective client communication skills to explain procedures clearly and address individual concerns professionally.
• Experience working in a spa setting or similar environments is preferred for a seamless integration into our team.
