Licensed Massage Therapist at BLOOM Skin + Wellness

We are receiving consistent requests for full-body massage services and are looking for someone who is experienced, professional, warm, and aligned with our relaxing, elevated approach to wellness.

This is a great opportunity for a massage therapist who wants to grow within an established spa environment without having to handle all of the marketing, booking, and client acquisition on their own.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of massage therapies including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to individual client needs
• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and ensure effective pain management
• Communicate clearly with clients to understand their concerns, explain treatment procedures, and set realistic wellness goals
• Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment notes in compliance with health regulations
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to sanitation standards and following all licensing requirements
• Stay informed about the latest techniques in physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to enhance service quality
• Promote client retention through excellent customer service and professional client communication

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current credentials and certifications
• Proven experience in massage therapy modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage techniques
• Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to accurately assess patient needs
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
• Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism
• Connecticut requires massage therapists to be licensed, and licensed massage therapists providing direct care must carry professional liability coverage of at least $250,000 per occurrence and $1 million aggregate
