Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) at Groton Wellness

This is more than a traditional spa position. Groton Wellness brings together therapeutic spa services, functional and integrative medicine, biological dentistry, fitness, nutrition, health coaching, and wellness education in one collaborative environment.

Our massage therapists have the opportunity to work with an established wellness community and alongside practitioners who believe in addressing the whole person. We are looking for a therapist who values excellent patient care, meaningful relationships, continued learning, and a holistic approach to health.

What You'll Do

Your primary responsibility will be providing outstanding massage therapy services customized to each client's needs.

• Perform professional therapeutic massage services
• Assess client needs and customize sessions appropriately
• Maintain accurate and appropriate treatment documentation
• Educate clients about wellness, self-care, and appropriate follow-up care
• Recommend future massage sessions when clinically appropriate
• Maintain a clean, calm, professional treatment room
• Follow sanitation, safety, privacy, and professional standards
• Collaborate with other Groton Wellness practitioners when appropriate and with client consent
• Participate as a positive member of the Groton Wellness team

Modalities We Value

We welcome therapists with experience in one or more of the following:

• Swedish massage
• Deep tissue massage
• Therapeutic massage
• Myofascial techniques
• Trigger point therapy
• Sports massage
• Lymphatic drainage
• Prenatal massage
• Craniosacral therapy
• Medical or clinical massage
• Other complementary therapeutic techniques

You do not need to specialize in every modality. We are especially interested in therapists who enjoy therapeutic and results-oriented bodywork while still creating a relaxing and exceptional client experience.

• Holds an active Massachusetts Massage Therapist license
• Maintains appropriate professional liability insurance
• Provides compassionate, patient-centered care
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Is dependable, professional, and punctual

• Works well as part of a collaborative team
• Is interested in building long-term relationships with clients
• Takes pride in creating an excellent client experience

Previous experience is preferred, but we are also open to meeting motivated therapists who are newer to the profession and strongly aligned with our philosophy.
