Part Time Medical Massage Therapist at Catch the Wave Family Health
Catch the Wave Family Health is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and personable Medical Massage Therapist to become part of our growing wellness team. We believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms, by providing individualized, patient-centered care.We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with patients, delivering customized treatments, and contributing to a welcoming, wellness-focused practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical and therapeutic massage treatments based on each patient's individual needs
- Evaluate patient concerns and develop personalized treatment plans
- Collaborate with our healthcare and wellness team to support patient goals
- Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation
- Educate patients on recovery strategies, wellness practices, and self-care techniques
- Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and prepared for each appointment
- Deliver exceptional patient care with professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Current New York State Massage Therapy License required
- Experience with medical massage, therapeutic massage, sports recovery, trigger point therapy, or similar techniques preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish trust and build long-term relationships with patients
- Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
- Reliable, self-motivated, and professional
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Sports massage
- Trigger point therapy
- Deep tissue massage
- Recovery-focused treatments
- Experience in a wellness or integrative healthcare setting
