Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Salon Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in the salon. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the beauty industry. The Salon Receptionist will manage appointments, assist with retail sales, and support the overall operation of the salon.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients warmly upon arrival and provide them with necessary information about services and products.
  • Manage appointment scheduling through our POS system, ensuring efficient use of time slots.
  • Work on salon social media.
  • Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
  • Assist with merchandising and stocking of retail products, ensuring displays are attractive and well-organized.
  • Conduct product demonstrations to educate clients on available services and products.
  • Process transactions accurately through cashiering duties, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
  • Upsell salon services and retail products to enhance customer experience and increase sales revenue.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and retail displays.
  • Support salon staff by coordinating client flow and assisting with administrative tasks as needed.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a customer service role is essential; experience in a salon or beauty environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems for appointment scheduling and sales transactions is highly desirable.
  • Supervising experience is a plus, as this role may involve training new reception staff in the future.
  • Knowledge of retail sales techniques, including upselling and merchandising strategies, is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills are required for effective interaction with clients and team members alike.
