Hair stylist (blowout and textured hair care specialist)

Role Overview

The Hair Stylist is responsible for completing the client experience by professionally drying and styling the hair after scalp treatments. This role requires experience working with textured hair and the ability to safely and effectively blow dry curls, coils, and natural hair. Braiding skills are strongly preferred, as some clients may request simple braid styles following their treatment.

This role works closely with the Scalp Therapist to ensure clients leave feeling confident, cared for, and fully styled.

Key Responsibilities

• Blow dry and style clients’ hair following scalp treatment services
• Safely and properly work with textured hair, including curls, coils, and natural hair
• Provide gentle detangling and heat styling while maintaining hair health and integrity
• Create simple braid styles when requested, including basic braids and protective styles
• Ensure a smooth and seamless transition from scalp treatment to finished style
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of styling tools and workstations
• Deliver a professional, welcoming, and elevated client experience
• Follow Madam Tingle service protocols and uphold brand standards
• Work collaboratively with the Madam Tingle team

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Cosmetology License required
• Experience blow drying and styling textured hair required
• Experience working with curls, coils, and natural hair required
• Ability to handle textured hair gently and professionally
• Strong attention to detail and client care
• Professional, reliable, and punctual
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a salon or luxury beauty environment
• Braiding skills, including natural braids and basic protective styles
• Passion for textured hair care and hair wellness
• Experience working with clients in a professional setting
