Duties

• Perform a wide range of hair styling services including cuts, trims, blowouts, coloring, and special treatments such as hair extensions and eyelash extensions
• Provide expert barbering services like straight razor shaves, beard trims, and grooming consultations
• Assist clients with personalized hair care advice, product recommendations, and retail sales to enhance their look and confidence
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and adhering to health regulations
• Use salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail transactions
• Engage with clients through excellent communication skills to understand their needs and deliver tailored styling solutions
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team environment through knowledge sharing and support

Experience

• Proven experience in hair styling or barbering with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse techniques such as hair threading, makeup application, and nail care
• Knowledge of color theory to create vibrant or subtle color results that complement each client's features
• Familiarity with salon management software systems like MINDBODY for booking and client tracking
• Strong understanding of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining genuine client relationships
• Experience in retail math for effective store management and sales optimization
• Ability to communicate clearly with clients about styling options and maintenance tips to ensure ongoing satisfaction
