Duties

Perform a wide range of hair styling services including cuts, trims, blowouts, coloring, and special treatments such as hair extensions and eyelash extensions
Provide expert barbering services like straight razor shaves, beard trims, and grooming consultations
Assist clients with personalized hair care advice, product recommendations, and retail sales to enhance their look and confidence
Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by properly sterilizing tools and adhering to health regulations
Use salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail transactions
Engage with clients through excellent communication skills to understand their needs and deliver tailored styling solutions
Mentor junior team members and contribute to a positive team environment through knowledge sharing and support

Experience

Proven experience in hair styling or barbering with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse techniques such as hair threading, makeup application, and nail care
Knowledge of color theory to create vibrant or subtle color results that complement each client's features
Familiarity with salon management software systems like MINDBODY for booking and client tracking
Strong understanding of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining genuine client relationships
Experience in retail math for effective store management and sales optimization
Ability to communicate clearly with clients about styling options and maintenance tips to ensure ongoing satisfaction
