Hair Stylist Assistant at Award-Winning Salon

Job Description

Our award-winning salon in Easton is looking for a licensed stylist OR assistant to join our team! We have two assistants that have recently graduated to the salon floor.

At our upscale salon, you will learn the technical art of hair styling along with how to build and retain the clients in your chair. We believe in growth and career advancement and we offer in-house education and training. Part to full-time positions are available. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule (days, nights, weekends). In this position, you will build a clientele and eventually go on the floor as a stylist. You could also be the Owner's assistant.

Most of our stylists have been here for over 20 years! Our customers tip the assistants. Our talented stylists also appreciate assistants and take pride in answering their questions.

We are still growing and obtaining new customers.

We are only hiring people that want a career and are dedicated to the craft as we invest a lot of time with you.

Cosmetology students who are close to obtaining their license are also invited to apply for future employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist stylists with hair styling techniques and procedures.
• Assist or apply color. Toning, washing of course.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients and addressing their needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the salon. Yes you do have to clean.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Uphold cosmetology and barbering standards in all services provided.
• Be an asset to the salon.
• Work with the manager and owner to build your clientele.
• Be able to fill in at a moment's notice or work later if we get a lot of walk-ins.
