Your expertise in various hair techniques, along with your ability to communicate effectively with clients, will be essential in helping them achieve their desired looks.

Responsibilities

• Provide a range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and treatments.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in hair styling and beauty.
• Consult with clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate services.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to sanitation standards.
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients and managing retail sales.
• Upsell products and services to enhance the client experience.
• Mentor junior stylists and provide guidance on best practices in hair care and styling.
• Perform additional beauty services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, or nail care as needed.

Skills

• Proficient in hair extensions, color theory, straight razor techniques, barbering, and hair threading.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Excellent communication skills for effective consultations and teamwork.
• Familiarity with retail math to assist in sales transactions.
• Experience in salon management or store management is a plus.
• Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• Previous experience using salon software systems is preferred.
