Hairstylist/Cosmetologist
Bring creativity and care to every appointment as a Hairstylist/Cosmetologist. You'll consult with clients, recommend services that suit their needs, and deliver polished results across hair and beauty services. Your impact: Thoughtful consultations and skilled service help clients feel confident and cared for.Duties
- Provide hair styling, hair coloring, hair care, and hair extensions; apply color theory to guide service choices.
- Offer barbering services, including straight razor techniques, and hair threading, makeup application, and nail care as qualified.
- Communicate clearly with clients about preferences, service options, and at-home care.
- Maintain clean tools and work areas by following sanitation practices.
- Use salon software, including MINDBODY where applicable, to manage appointments and support store management; recommend relevant services through attentive, respectful upselling.
Experience
- Experience working in the beauty industry and a background in cosmetology are valued.
- Strong customer service, communication skills, and client communication are essential.
- Knowledge of hair styling, hair care, hair coloring, color theory, and sanitation is important.
- Experience with salon software, MINDBODY, hair extensions, barbering, straight razor work, hair threading, makeup application, or nail care is preferred.
- Mentoring or store management experience is a plus.
