Hair Stylist

Duties

• Perform a wide range of hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, updos, and special occasion styles with precision and flair
• Execute professional hair coloring techniques based on client preferences and color theory principles
• Apply hair extensions and eyelash extensions to enhance client looks with skill and attention to detail
• Conduct consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable treatments or products
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas following salon protocols
• Use salon software to schedule appointments, process transactions, and manage client records efficiently
• Upsell retail products related to hair care, nail care, makeup application, and other beauty services to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue

Qualifications

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry
• Proficiency in salon software systems for appointment booking and client management
• Strong knowledge of hair care products, coloring techniques, and store management practices
• Skilled in hair styling, cutting, coloring, hair threading, and makeup application
• Experience with retail sales, retail math, upselling techniques, and client communication strategies
• Ability to perform sanitation procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor junior team members and foster a positive team atmosphere
