Duties

• Deliver expert hair styling, coloring, and haircutting services tailored to each client's preferences and hair type
• Perform specialized treatments such as hair extensions and makeup application to enhance overall client satisfaction
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and hygiene by adhering to all safety protocols and salon sanitation procedures
• Utilize salon software systems like Vagaro for scheduling appointments, managing client records, and processing retail sales efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service by actively listening to client needs, offering professional advice, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere
• Upsell retail products such as hair care items, styling tools, and cosmetics to support clients' ongoing beauty routines
• Assist with front desk responsibilities including appointment booking, client check-in/out, and managing walk-in traffic
• Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair threading, color theory, and store management practices to promote team growth

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience working in the beauty industry
• Proficiency in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and texturizing; experience with hair extensions and straight razors is a plus
• Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and salon safety protocols
• Familiarity with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and retail tracking
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients and understand their beauty goals
• Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for upselling opportunities
• Experience applying makeup, nail care treatments, or performing hair threading is advantageous
• Passion for continuous learning about current trends in hair care, color theory, and new styling techniques
