Hair Stylist

Duties

• Provide professional hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, updos, and special occasion styles that meet client preferences.
• Perform hair coloring techniques such as highlights, balayage, and full color treatments using advanced color theory principles.
• Apply hair extensions. We have our own hair brand and technique that you will be educated on.
• Utilize salon software for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in accordance with industry regulations to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
• Offer expert advice on hair care routines, product recommendations, and retail upselling to boost client satisfaction and salon revenue.
• Assist with front desk responsibilities including client check-in/out, appointment confirmations, and providing excellent customer service, only when the receptionist is away.

Skills

• Proficiency in salon software systems for efficient appointment management.
• Extensive experience working in the beauty industry with a strong foundation in cosmetology or barbering certifications.
• Skilled in various hair techniques including styling, coloring, and cutting with straight razors.
• Knowledge of retail math principles to effectively upsell products like hair care items and cosmetics.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with clients professionally and understand their desired looks.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple client appointments seamlessly.
• Familiarity with store management practices to contribute positively to overall salon operations.
