Responsibilities

• Assist stylists and barbers with hair treatments, including hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards by properly sanitizing tools such as straight razors, scissors, and brushes, adhering to health regulations.
• Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments using salon software like MINDBODY, managing client check-ins, and handling retail sales effectively through retail math and upselling techniques.
• Prepare clients for services by performing consultations on color theory, hair styling preferences, and recommending suitable products or treatments.
• Manage retail inventory, restocking products related to nail care, makeup application, and hair care essentials while assisting clients with product selections.
• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with clients professionally, answering questions about services like hair styling or store management processes, and ensuring a positive salon experience.
• Mentor new team members by sharing knowledge of salon procedures, communication skills enhancement, and best practices in sanitation and service delivery.

Requirements

• Prior experience or training in cosmetology or barbering is preferred; certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and related beauty treatments.
• Familiarity with salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management.
• Strong understanding of color theory to assist with coloring services and consultations.
• Ability to operate salon tools safely including straight razors and other styling equipment while maintaining high sanitation standards.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
• Proven ability in retail sales techniques including upselling products related to hair care, skincare, or cosmetics.
• Demonstrated organizational skills for managing front desk duties like appointment booking and store management tasks.
