Duties

• Greet clients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in using salon software such as Gloss Genius to streamline appointments and payments
• Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards, including tools, stations, and common areas, ensuring a safe environment for everyone
• Support stylists with hair styling tasks by washing hair, putting capes on clients, sweeping, and possibly rough drying
• Assist with front desk responsibilities like scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing client inquiries with excellent communication skills
• Help with store management tasks such as inventory tracking, retail math calculations, and organizing supplies to keep the salon running seamlessly

Experience

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Knowledge of salon software systems like Gloss Genius or similar platforms is a plus
• Familiarity with beauty treatments such as hair styling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, or barbering is advantageous
• Basic understanding of sanitation practices within a salon setting to ensure health standards are met
• Strong communication skills to connect effectively with clients and team members; mentoring or team support experience is beneficial
• A cosmetology or barbering license is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates eager to grow in the industry
