Duties

• Assist stylists and barbers with hair treatments, including styling, blowouts, and hair extensions
• Prepare clients by shampooing, conditioning, and setting up tools for various services
• Maintain salon cleanliness by sanitizing tools, stations, and work areas in accordance with sanitation standards
• Support with retail sales by recommending products such as hair care, nail care, makeup, and eyelash extensions to clients
• Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling using salon software like MINDBODY or similar platforms
• Help with inventory management of salon supplies and retail products
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting clients warmly, answering questions about services, and ensuring a positive experience

Experience

• Previous experience or training in cosmetology or barbering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Knowledge of hair extensions, color theory, eyelash extensions, nail care, and makeup application is a plus
• Familiarity with salon software systems such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for scheduling and client management
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Ability to perform sanitation procedures meticulously to ensure a safe environment
• Experience in retail sales, upselling techniques, and retail math to promote product sales effectively
• Basic understanding of store management principles is advantageous but not mandatory; mentoring opportunities are available for motivated individuals
