Front Desk Support at Long & Short Barber Co.
Long & Short Barber Co. (Downtown Brooklyn) is looking for an enthusiastic Front Desk Support who will be responsible for the following:Responsibilities
- Welcoming all guests with a sincere smile and warm demeanor.
- Answering phones and managing appointments / reservations via Squire — our booking software and Point of Sale system.
- Check-out guests and take payment via Squire — our booking software and Point of Sale system.
- Supporting Barbers during service. (Sweep / maintain cleanliness throughout the day, changing Barbicide, refilling shave foam, etc.)
- Manage laundry service (responsible for scheduling/managing weekly laundry service).
- General upkeep of the shop floor (sweeping, dusting, maintaining/stocking product display area, etc.)
- Opening and/or closing shop when scheduled.
What does the ideal candidate look like?
- Part-time availability.
- Weekend availability necessary (Friday, Saturday & Sunday as needed).
- Has previous work as a Receptionist/Front Desk Support (not 100% necessary; if you're willing to learn/grow, we can train you towards success!).
- Has an engaging personality, as they will be the first and last interaction our guests will have with our shop.
- Proactive, and can take initiative if they see something that needs attention.
- Comfortable with technology (answering phones, point of sale, appointment software, email, etc.)
- Enjoys barbershop culture, and/or is hoping to operate their own business, as this is a great opportunity to learn more about what it takes to do just that.
- Customer service: 3 years (Required)
