Responsibilities

• Provide expert hair styling services including cuts, blowouts, styling, and special occasion looks.
• Perform advanced treatments such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair threading to enhance client satisfaction.
• Apply color theory principles to create customized color solutions using various techniques like balayage, highlights, or full color.
• Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by cleaning tools and workstations according to health regulations.
• Utilize salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking.
• Offer retail product recommendations and upselling opportunities to boost store sales while educating clients on hair care products.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and handling inquiries professionally.
• Mentor junior staff or apprentices by sharing techniques in hair styling, barbering (including straight razor shaves), and customer service excellence.
• Support store management with inventory control and sales reports using retail math skills for accurate stock and sales analysis.
• Foster excellent communication skills to ensure clear understanding of client desires and provide personalized consultations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a professional Hair Stylist with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse styles and treatments.
• Extensive knowledge of cosmetology and barbering practices, including the use of straight razors and advanced haircutting techniques.
• Hands-on experience with salon software systems like MINDBODY for scheduling and retail management.
• Demonstrated ability in hair coloring techniques rooted in solid color theory understanding.
• Skilled in applying eyelash extensions, nail care services, makeup application, and hair threading for comprehensive beauty services.
• Strong customer service skills with a track record of building lasting client relationships through excellent communication and personalized care.
• Ability to manage retail sales effectively through upselling strategies and retail math proficiency.
• Experience mentoring or training team members in technical skills or customer service best practices is highly desirable.

Compensation

Pay: $20.00 - $28.65 per hour
