The Skin Reverie is a wellness-centered skin studio in Sayville, NY, where results-driven esthetics meet rest, ritual, and intentional care.

Our approach to skincare goes beyond simply performing a facial. We believe the treatment room should be a place where clients can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and feel genuinely cared for while receiving thoughtful, highly customized skin treatments.

Our services blend advanced esthetic techniques with elements of wellness, relaxation, facial massage, and restorative touch to create an experience that supports both the skin and the person receiving the treatment.

We are a small, passionate team and are looking for the right person to grow alongside us — someone who genuinely loves esthetics, enjoys caring for people, and feels excited about continuing to learn and evolve within the industry.

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, thoughtful, and motivated Part-Time Esthetician who truly enjoys being in the treatment room.

This position is for someone who feels connected to the art and practice of esthetics, not simply someone looking to fill hours behind the schedule.

You should be excited by things like learning new techniques, understanding the skin more deeply, providing intentional facial massage, creating a calming environment, educating clients, and finding ways to make every treatment feel personalized.

We would love to meet someone who is naturally curious about skincare, wellness, facial massage, holistic modalities, nervous-system-supportive practices, and continued education, and who wants to build a meaningful career in esthetics.

What You'll Do

• Provide thoughtful, customized facial and esthetic services based on each client's skin, goals, and individual needs
• Create a calm, welcoming, and intentional treatment-room experience from beginning to end
• Develop a strong understanding of each client's skin rather than relying on one-size-fits-all treatment protocols
• Incorporate massage, relaxation, and wellness-focused elements into services according to The Skin Reverie's treatment philosophy
• Educate clients about their skin in a way that feels supportive, approachable, and empowering
• Recommend home-care products when they genuinely support the client's goals
• Build meaningful, long-term relationships with clients through consistency, communication, and care
• Follow up with clients after treatments when appropriate
• Maintain accurate client notes and visual records
• Continue learning about the products, modalities, techniques, and services offered at The Skin Reverie
• Participate in continuing education, both independently and through education provided by TSR
• Maintain a beautiful, clean, organized, and peaceful treatment environment
• Clean, reset, restock, and care for the treatment space according to TSR standards
• Take photos or videos during treatments with client permission when appropriate
• Occasionally contribute ideas or participate in educational and social media content

• Wants to become an important part of a small business rather than simply clocking in and out

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Esthetics License
• 2+ years of experience providing esthetic services preferred
• Strong foundational knowledge of skincare, skin conditions, and facial treatments
• Confidence performing hands-on facial services
• Genuine interest in wellness and continued education
• Strong communication and listening skills
• High standards for cleanliness, organization, and client care
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a collaborative team
• Comfortable discussing appropriate home care and product recommendations with clients
• Availability for at least one weekday evening and Saturdays

Experience with advanced modalities is a plus, but passion, curiosity, strong hands-on skills, and the desire to grow are equally important to us.
