This position is for the best candidate with 3 or more years experience, who is willing to work in Harlem for 2–4 months, as an assistant with the opportunity to train for a permanent/part-time position (main priority employment), as a Curly Textured Specialist/Hairstylist in the New York City location.

Cosmetology license is a MUST, and must be at least a high school graduate. Looking for talented individuals to work with the owner at SimpleeBEAUTIFUL CurlyTexturedBAR in the new Harlem location. The ideal candidate will be the right-hand assistant or stylist trained by celebrity, curl architect and author of the book, Textured Tresses; Diane Da Costa. Must be a trustworthy, committed, hardworking independent thinker.

Assistant: The best candidate is a recent graduate or has 1 to 2 years experience in the salon/beauty industry with a love for curly textured hair. This is an entry-level position with growth opportunities after 8 months plus work and training.

This part-time/full-time position will offer a chance to work with and train directly with the owner, celebrity stylist and author Diane Da Costa.

Responsibilities

• Consult with guests on their hair needs, recommending professional hair care services, products, and accessories.
• Acknowledge and greet all guests and offer friendly, prompt, and courteous service.
• Use product prescriptive sheets to prescribe professional salon products to salon guests.
• Meet or exceed all individual sales and productivity goals.
• Attend all mandatory education events and workshops.
• Assist in store duties (e.g., filling salon retail displays and shelves.)
• Adhere to SimpleeBEAUTIFUL standards for guest service and cleanliness.
• Adhere to salon dress code.
• Qualified candidates will be trained.
