Hair Artist / Stylist at Thomas Taft Salon

We are a busy, established NYC salon with a warm, creative, and professional culture. Our salon is built on beautiful hair, elevated service, teamwork, and making every client feel cared for from the moment they walk in.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about hair, eager to grow, and excited to be part of a salon that values education, professionalism, and long-term career development.

What We're Looking For

A licensed Hair Artist who loves creating beautiful color, cuts, styling, treatments, and customized looks for all hair types and textures. You should be friendly, reliable, professional, and comfortable working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Providing excellent client experiences from consultation to finish
• Performing haircuts, color services, blowouts, styling, treatments, and other salon services
• Educating clients on home care, products, and maintenance
• Rebooking and helping build long-term client relationships
• Supporting salon retail goals and recommending products with confidence
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional station
• Participating in salon education, meetings, and team events
• Helping create a positive, polished, and welcoming salon environment

Ideal Candidate

• Licensed cosmetologist in New York
• Professional, warm, and reliable
• Passionate about beauty, hair, and client care
• Comfortable working with different hair types and textures
• Motivated to grow clientele and increase service/retail sales
• Team player with a positive attitude

Schedule

Full-time or part-time opportunities available. Weekends may be required.

Compensation

Commission-based, based on experience and salon level.
