Duties

• Provide professional barbering services such as haircuts, beard trims, shaves using straight razors, and styling tailored to each client's preferences
• Perform advanced grooming treatments including hair coloring, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and makeup application when required
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace adhering to all sanitation standards and safety protocols
• Use salon management software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, update client records, and manage retail sales efficiently
• Offer personalized consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable hair care products or additional services
• Upsell retail products such as hair care items, grooming tools, and cosmetics to enhance client satisfaction and store revenue
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing bookings, and ensuring smooth daily operations

Requirements

• Valid cosmetology or barbering license with current certification in your state or region
• Proven experience working in the beauty industry with strong skills in barbering, hair styling, coloring, and hair threading
• Knowledge of salon software systems such as MINDBODY for appointment scheduling and client management
• Expertise in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse clients and team members
• Familiarity with store management principles including retail math and upselling techniques
• Ability to mentor junior staff members and contribute positively to team development
• Skills in retail sales, product knowledge including hair care, nail care, makeup application, and retail math proficiency
