We are looking for a punctual, patient, and reliable Salon Assistant to join our welcoming and upbeat salon environment. The ideal candidate should be passionate about the beauty industry and willing to learn.

Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and offer refreshments

• Assist stylists with shampooing, blow-drying, and other tasks

• Clean and maintain the salon to ensure a tidy and comfortable environment

• Keep an inventory of salon supplies and notify management when supplies run low

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• NYS Cosmetology License (or currently enrolled in Cosmetology School)

• Strong communication skills and customer service

• Proficiency in rinsing and shampooing color

• Basic Blowdry skills preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time

• Prior salon experience is a plus, but not required

• Service Industry or Retail experience strongly preferred.

• 3-4 day (one weekend day included) schedule required.

Compensation:

• Start at $16.50 per hour plus tips with opportunity for an increase after 90 days.

• 40% commission on services rendered including glosses, extensions, single processes, etc.

• 3-4 days a week with the opportunity for in-person education with @blondebybritt and work towards becoming a junior Stylist.

• Monthly ongoing education classes.
