Assistant Store Manager – Bridal Boutique

Lotus Bridal is a well-established, highly rated bridal salon with locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Long Island. Our Manhattan boutique is seeking a highly organized Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily operations, coordinate inventory and order management, support alteration appointments, and lead the sales floor.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, confident managing staff, and comfortable balancing operational responsibilities with customer-facing situations in a fast-paced retail environment.

The Assistant Manager works closely with the Store Manager as part of the leadership team and is responsible for maintaining store operations, supporting staff, and ensuring a smooth, high-quality customer experience at all times. This role is expected to maintain full leadership of the floor and oversee daily operations when the Store Manager is not present.

Qualities | Requirements

Strong hospitality mindset to ensure every bride and her guests feel welcomed, comfortable, and confident
Possess a high standard of honesty, moral goodness, strong work ethics and standard of commitment
Must be quick thinking and have high competency to problem solve, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they escalate
2 – 3 years of experience in retail management, showroom management, or leadership role in a related field
Strong business awareness with the ability to support store performance and KPI goals
Ability to prioritize, delegate and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
Impeccable presentation and excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors and staff
Comfortable using technology and systems to improve organization and efficiency
Working Saturdays and Sundays is required

Responsibilities

Store Operations & Inventory Oversight

Oversee the receiving of all gowns and accessories
Ensure all shipments are checked for accuracy against purchase orders
Confirm gowns are properly tagged, bagged, and entered into our POS system
Maintain organization of stockroom and sample floor
Ensure stylists complete all preparation tasks for appointments
Oversee that social media and marketing content is created consistently and in line with store standards

Purchase Orders & Vendor Coordination

Track confirmations and delivery timelines
Follow up with designers on delayed gowns
Communicate with vendors regarding order questions or corrections

Alterations Floor Oversight

Oversee appointment flow on alterations days
Coordinate fitting schedule with seamstress
Ensure gowns are prepared in advance for fittings and pickups
Support brides during fittings to ensure a smooth and positive experience
Step in to assist with fittings or customer needs when necessary
Ensure the bride's final appointments and pickup experience reflect the high level of service and professionalism expected at Lotus Bridal, leaving both the bride and her guests with a positive lasting impression

Sales Floor Support

Support stylists during busy appointment times
Assist with appointment flow and floor organization
Step into appointments when needed
Expected to conduct bridal appointments when needed to support the team

Manager Coverage / Leadership Role

When the Store Manager is not present, the Assistant Manager assumes full floor leadership
Handle customer concerns and escalations
Support stylists with decision making
Ensure all appointments and store operations run smoothly
Communicate updates to Store Manager and ownership

Store Organization & Daily Execution

Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully prepared for appointments
Confirm gowns are pulled in advance for try-ons, fittings, and pickups
Ensure completion of all daily operational tasks by staff
