Front Desk Receptionist at Akari Salon and Spa

Job Description

Akari Salon and Spa is looking for an outgoing and dependable team player to join our highly skilled client service team as a front desk receptionist.

The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, works well in high-stress environments, and can stand for long periods of time.

Our front desk receptionists are the first point of contact for clients and deliver exceptional customer service experiences by building friendly, trusting relationships.

The position plays a vital role in coordinating the workflow for all service providers and is an integral part of the team. There are multiple opportunities for growth and education.

Primary Responsibilities

Book and confirm appointments (phone and email)
Greet clients and inform service providers of their arrival
Offer beverages and engage with clients who are in the waiting area
Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services, and schedule appointments based on availability
Process cash and credit card transactions
Inform clients about new services and discounts
Cross-sell services and products when appropriate
Maintain a professional, clean environment
Open and close the salon and spa
Maintain accurate time clocks and vacation requests
Mail online orders
Attend department meetings
Accurately reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each day

Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to be friendly and professional in a customer service environment
Ability to multi-task as well as remain calm, graceful, and friendly under pressure
Must be pro-active, punctual, responsible, and highly organized
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients in a friendly manner
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
Previous salon or spa experience helpful
Strong computer skills
