Role Overview

This role is ideal for a professional with a strong understanding of scalp disorders, scalp wellness, and textured hair care. You will conduct scalp assessments, provide customized treatment recommendations, and deliver elevated scalp therapy services while ensuring each client receives thoughtful, informed, and high-quality care.

You will serve as both a treatment provider and an educational resource for clients seeking healthier scalp conditions and stronger hair growth outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional scalp assessments and consultations
• Identify scalp concerns such as dryness, buildup, thinning, irritation, dandruff, and inflammation
• Deliver customized scalp treatments including scalp facials, detox treatments, hydration therapy, and therapeutic scalp massage
• Safely and properly work with textured hair, including curls, coils, and protective styles
• Recommend appropriate treatment plans and home care guidance based on client needs
• Educate clients on scalp health, hair retention, and healthy hair growth practices
• Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of treatment areas
• Follow Madam Tingle service protocols and uphold luxury brand standards
• Contribute to a welcoming, professional, and client-centered environment

Required Qualifications

• Certification or formal training in Trichology strongly preferred
• Active New York State Cosmetology License required
• Strong experience working with textured hair, including coils, curls, and protective styles required
• Deep understanding of scalp health, scalp disorders, and hair wellness best practices
• Excellent hands-on technique and attention to detail
• Professional, reliable, and client-focused
• Strong communication and consultation skills
• Ability to educate clients clearly and confidently
• Willingness to learn Madam Tingle’s specialized scalp therapy protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in trichology, scalp wellness, medspa, salon, spa, or wellness environments

• Experience providing scalp treatments, hair restoration support, or therapeutic scalp services

• Existing client base or strong referral network is a plus

• Passion for scalp health, hair wellness, and serving clients with textured hair
