Responsibilities

• Greet clients warmly, manage front desk duties, and ensure a smooth check-in and check-out process using salon software such as MINDBODY.
• Assist stylists and technicians with hair styling, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and hair threading to support their service delivery.
• Maintain salon cleanliness and sanitation standards, including proper sterilization of tools like straight razors and other equipment.
• Support retail sales by upselling products related to hair care, skincare, and beauty treatments while providing knowledgeable recommendations based on client needs.
• Manage appointment scheduling, cancellations, and client follow-ups efficiently within the salon software system.
• Assist with inventory management of beauty supplies and retail products to ensure stock levels are maintained.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, offering personalized advice on color theory and hair styling options, and fostering a positive salon environment.
• Support mentoring new team members by sharing knowledge of salon procedures, product use, and customer engagement strategies.

Experience

• Previous experience in a salon or barbering environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with salon software platforms such as MINDBODY or similar systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, makeup application, and retail sales techniques is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members in a lively setting.
• Basic understanding of sanitation practices specific to cosmetology and barbering services.
• Experience in store management or front desk responsibilities is a plus but not mandatory.
• A passion for beauty trends, color theory principles, and ongoing learning in cosmetology or barbering fields will help you excel in this role.
