Duties

• Provide professional shampooing and scalp treatments tailored to each client's hair type and needs, utilizing your knowledge of sanitation and hair care techniques.
• Assist with hair styling, coloring, extensions, and other salon services to support the overall client experience.
• Educate clients on proper hair care routines, product usage, and retail options to enhance their at-home maintenance.
• Operate salon software systems such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments, processing payments, and managing client records efficiently.
• Support store management with front desk duties including greeting clients, checking in appointments, and handling retail sales with upselling strategies.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across workstations and tools to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff.
• Mentor new team members on service techniques, product knowledge, and customer service excellence to foster a collaborative team atmosphere.

Requirements

• Provide a luxury shampoo and scalp massage experience that leaves clients raving.
• Prepare clients for services (robes, beverages, consultation prep).
• Maintain a pristine, organized shampoo department.
• Deliver exceptional, warm customer service from the moment a client sits in your shampoo chair.
• Cosmetology Student or Recent Graduate: Currently enrolled in or graduated from an accredited cosmetology program (or holding a current license/permit).
• High Energy & Hustle: You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can think on your feet, and naturally look for things to do during downtime.
• Polished Professionalism: Excellent communication skills, a professional aesthetic, and a warm, welcoming demeanor.
• Reliable Team Player: Punctual, dependable, and receptive to feedback.
• Availability: Must be available to work peak salon hours, including Saturdays.
