Shampoo Assistant at Westhampton Beach Salon
Busy, upbeat salon looking for an experienced Shampoo Assistant — full time or part time. Must have prior shampooing experience in a salon setting. Experience in blowouts is a plus! Room to advance into a chair with your license.The ideal candidate will have a license and passion for the beauty industry and be eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced salon environment.
Duties
- Assist stylists with shampooing, color, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon
- Prepare clients for salon services
- Support stylists in various tasks as needed
- Learn and apply basic hair care techniques under the guidance of experienced professionals
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology license
- Familiarity with hair care products and treatments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Excellent customer service skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques
- Nice-to-have skills: Blow dry skills, eyelash extensions, color theory, makeup application, nail care, upselling, retail sales, mentoring, barbering
