If so, this is the position for you! Shan Hair is seeking a receptionist/ assistant to help with the day-to-day tasks of running the salon. Restocking retail inventory, creating Instagram stories, or answering the phone, you should be ready to keep the salon running smoothly.

What is Shan Hair?
Shan Hair is a popular, client-based salon located in the Brookline/BU neighborhood. Though Shan Hair specializes in curly hair, the salon offers a variety of services for people of all hair types. You’ll be able to learn the ins and outs of how to operate a small business with Shan, master stylist and owner, who already holds over 28 years of experience. A positive attitude and professional image is a must - if you are not successful, we cannot be successful as a business!

What does an average day look like?
Adhering to established standards of safety and cleanliness, keeping equipment properly sanitized and hair and treatment areas clean and presentable at all times.
Answering calls and emails;
Processing payments;
Boosting social media presence;
Rebooking for future appointments;
Responding to client inquires for all stylists.
Cleaning and maintaining salon appearance;
Greeting and attending to waiting clients (e.g., Offer clients beverages, hanging up coats);
Complying with all state licensing and health requirements.
